维特鲁威的《建筑十书》是世界建筑理论的基石。30年前中国出版了《建筑十书》的一个版本,2013年一个新版的中文《建筑十书》译本的问世,使我们再一次回到建筑理论与建筑历史这一话题。本文从建筑是否有理论,中国人是否需要自己的建筑理论,如何为建筑理论定位,中国当今在建筑理论方面的现状如何等方面的问题,加以讨论,并提出自己的见解。此外,本文对于新版维特鲁威《建筑十书》,也给予了积极的评价与分析。

Vitruvius' "Ten Books of Architecture" is the cornerstone of world architectural theory.30 years ago,China published the first Chinese version of "Ten Books of Architecture".In the year of 2013,a new version of the Chinese translation of "Ten book of Architecture" has been published.During the time of the new book publication,we once again return to the topic of the architectural theory and the architectural history.This article will focus on the points such as:if is there theory in architecture.Is contemporary China need its own architectural theory or not.How to make a position in the academic area for architectural theory.What is the status in terms of architectural theory in China today,and so on.All these points will be discussed and will put forward the author's own views.
